Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 June 2026
BiteTheMenu, a service operated by Danilo Consulting Co., Ltd. (“BiteTheMenu”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), provides software that helps restaurants and food venues manage their business and grow their audience — including the ability to create marketing content and publish it to a venue’s own social media accounts. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who uses our platform and, in particular, to the data we handle when you connect your Instagram or Facebook account.
1. Who we are & how to contact us
BiteTheMenu is a brand operated by Danilo Consulting Co., Ltd., which is the controller of the personal data described below. For any privacy question or request, contact us at eccomisydney@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you or your venue creates an account, we collect your name, email address and authentication details needed to sign you in securely.
Business and menu information
We store the venue information you provide so the platform can do its job — for example menu items, prices, images and operational settings.
Instagram & Facebook connection
Connecting your accounts is optional. If you choose to connect them, we receive and store the following from Meta in order to act on your behalf:
- Your Facebook Page’s ID and name.
- The Instagram Business account ID and username linked to that Page.
- Access tokens issued by Meta that allow us to publish content you have scheduled or approved, and to read the performance metrics of those posts.
- Engagement metrics for content published through our platform (for example reach, impressions, likes, comments and saves), used to show you analytics.
We only use this access to (a) publish the content you create, schedule or approve, and (b) retrieve performance metrics for that content. We do not read your private messages, we do not post anything without your action or a schedule you set, and we do not use your Meta data for advertising to you or sell it to anyone.
Content you create
Captions, images and videos you generate or upload for publishing are stored so we can deliver and schedule them.
Usage and technical data
Like most online services, we collect basic technical information such as log data and cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure and reliable.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, operate and maintain the platform.
- To publish the content you schedule or approve to your connected accounts.
- To show you analytics about how your content is performing.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and comply with the law.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers who help us run the platform, and only as needed to provide the service:
- Cloud hosting, database and file-storage providers that store your data securely.
- Providers that help generate marketing content (for example AI text and image services) when you choose to use those features.
- The social platforms themselves — Instagram and Facebook (Meta) — when you connect them and we publish or read data on your behalf.
- Authorities or advisors where we are legally required to do so, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
5. Information obtained through Meta (Instagram & Facebook)
Our collection and use of information received from the Meta APIs adheres to the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies, including their limited-use requirements. We use this information only to provide and improve the features you connected the accounts for, and we retain it only for as long as you keep the connection active or as required to provide the service.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. The access tokens and account details from your Instagram/Facebook connection are kept until you disconnect the account or delete your data, after which they are removed from our active systems. We may retain limited records where the law requires it.
7. Your rights and choices
- Disconnect at any time. You can disconnect Instagram and Facebook from inside the app (Growth → Connections), which removes the stored access tokens.
- Access, correct or delete. You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- Withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, see our Data Deletion page or email eccomisydney@gmail.com.
8. How to delete your data
You can remove the data we hold about you — including everything obtained from Instagram and Facebook — at any time. Full instructions are on our Data Deletion page.
9. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit who can access it.
10. International transfers
We operate online and may process and store your information in countries other than your own. Where we do, we take steps to ensure your information continues to be protected.
11. Children
Our service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
13. Contact us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, contact us at eccomisydney@gmail.com.
