Messages — the contact inbox from your site
Your public site has a contact form. Everything sent through it lands in Messages in the sidebar, so nothing sits unread in a personal mailbox.
How it works
- Open Messages. Each row shows who wrote, when, and the first line.
- Click a row to expand the full message — name, email, and the phone and subject if they gave them.
- Reply with the one-tap email button. The subject comes pre-filled with Re: … so you can just write.
- If they left a phone number, you can call straight from the row.
Status
Each message carries one of four states: new, replied, archived, or spam. Marking one replied removes it from the unread count on the sidebar.
Good to know
- Replies go out from your own email, not from inside the app — so the conversation continues where the customer expects it.
- Archiving keeps the message; it just clears it from your daily view.
- Marking something spam doesn’t block the sender, it only files the message away.
- The unread badge counts only new messages, so triaging as you go keeps it honest.
