Picking a video model, and what it costs

You choose in two steps: a style to narrow the list, then the model that actually makes your clip. Each model has its own price, and the exact cost shows at the bottom of the window before you confirm.

The rule

Generate video when motion is the message — flames, steam, a pour, a slice. A still photo is the right call for most restaurant posts, at a twentieth of the cost.

How it works

  1. Open Generate video from the Composer.
  2. Under 1 · Style, pick a group: Everyday, Smooth, or Best quality. This only narrows the list below.
  3. Under 2 · Which model, pick the model. Each row gives its real name, what it’s good at, and a “from” price.
  4. Set 3 · Length and 4 · Sharpness. The options come from the model you picked, so a model that only makes short clips shows a shorter slider.
  5. The footer shows the exact credits for that combination. Nothing is charged until you press Generate.

Seedance 2 Fast is the one to reach for: it’s the cheapest. A 5-second 480p clip is about 390 credits; 15 seconds at 720p is about 2,475. Clips run from 4 to 15 seconds.

Seedance 2.5 is the only model that makes clips longer than 15 seconds — up to 30. It costs more per second, so pick 480p when what you want is length: 30 seconds at 480p is about 4,200 credits, where the same clip at 720p is 5,670.

What the “from” price means

It is the whole clip at that model’s shortest length and lowest sharpness — not a per-second rate. “From 310 credits for 4s” means a complete 4-second clip costs 310. A longer or sharper clip from the same model costs more, and the footer always shows the real number for what you have selected.

What each channel needs

DestinationPickWhy
Instagram Reel10–15s · 720pReels reward a clip that plays out, and it’s sharp enough full-screen
Instagram Story5–10s · 480pStories skip after 5–7s anyway, and story chrome hides detail
Facebook feed5–10s · 480pAutoplays muted and small
TikTok15–30s · 480pRewards dwell time; 480p keeps a long clip affordable
Google Business10–15s · 720pPatient audience — quality matters more than length

Good to know

  • A venue posting one Reel a week and two Stories runs about 13,200 credits a month. Posting images instead costs a fraction of that, even at one image a day — and each image shows its price before you press Generate. Budget for video deliberately rather than by accident.
  • Longer doesn’t mean better-looking. The extra budget buys more frames, not sharper ones. Start at 5s and stretch only when there’s a real arc to show.
  • Two models in the same style group can cost very different amounts — that’s why the list says “prices differ”. The group tells you how the video will look, not what it will cost.
  • On the longest clips the price stops climbing for a stretch: on Seedance 2.5 at 720p, everything from 16 to 26 seconds costs the same 5,000 credits. If you’re already past 16 seconds, the extra seconds up to 26 are free.
  • A model marked Coming soon is one we have priced but not switched on yet. It’ll appear normally once it’s ready.
  • Generation takes 4–6 minutes. The model is producing hundreds of frames and keeping each consistent with its neighbour; there’s no way to make that instant.
  • Tap the star on a model to keep it at the top of your list next time. It doesn’t change the price, and it belongs to the model rather than the group.
