Your plan and credits — what's included and what usage costs

Your venue runs on a monthly plan — Free, Starter, Essential, Plus, or Max. The plan decides three things: which features are included (the public website level, automatic translation), your limits (how many competitors you can track, how many people can sign in), and how many credits refill each month.

The rule: you see the whole toolkit on every plan — what meters real use is credits. Generating a post, analysing a competitor, or auto-translating a menu each draws a few credits from the same balance.

How it works

  1. Your credits left always show as a small 🪙 chip in the top bar — tap it any time to jump straight to your AI settings. It turns amber when you’re running low and red when you’re out. The number is for the venue you’re currently in; switch venues and it updates.
  2. Open AI → Your plan to see your plan and every plan you could move to. Each plan card shows its credits and what they are used for (AI photo generation, AI video generation, posts, review and guest-chat answers, translations, competitor reads), the jobs the AI team runs on its own and how often, and every feature it includes. Hover a name or the small i to read what it does. The card with the lowest price per credit and the most popular plan are marked. Switch Monthly / Yearly to see the yearly price and what you save. Under the cards, What each plan includes compares every plan line by line, and the questions people ask before they pay are answered at the bottom. Settings → Service status shows the same chart for your own plan.
  3. Credits refill to your plan’s allowance every month on your billing day. On the bigger plans, unused credits roll over for a month or two.
  4. When something runs — an AI draft, a photo enhancement, an auto-translation (1 credit per 1,000 characters) — its cost is taken from the balance. If a task fails, the credits come back automatically.
  5. Run out mid-month? One-time credit packs top you up without changing plans — bonus credits never expire.
  6. Plan changes go through the BiteTheMenu team: upgrades apply immediately, downgrades at the end of your billing period.

Good to know

  • If the team gives you a free trial of a paid plan, you see an amber banner at the top of every page: which plan you are trying, how many days are left, and when it ends. Open AI → Your plan to keep it before it lapses — the plan you are trying wears a Trial badge with its end date and a Keep button. A trial switches the tools on but adds no credits; anything you had stays, and the team can add bonus credits that never expire. The Free plan itself never expires, so on Free you only ever see the purple upgrade banner.
  • Every AI tool is on every plan, Free included — the Photo Studio and custom AI instructions among them. Credits are the only limit, never your plan.
  • The Free plan includes the public menu page, the full AI team with 100 credits to try it, and competitor watch on one rival.
  • On the Free plan, a purple banner at the top of each page shows what a paid plan adds. It changes every few seconds. Press See plans to compare the plans, or ✕ to hide it until tomorrow.
  • The Free plan holds 40 dishes, and one photo for each dish. If you already have more, you keep them all. You just cannot add the next one until you change your plan.
  • Starter holds 60 dishes. It is for a small menu. It has the full website, online ordering and translation, with 500 credits a month. If you need more credits, buy a credit pack.
  • Paid plans hold 20 photos and videos for each dish. Essential, Plus and Max have no limit on dishes.
  • Automatic translation needs the Starter plan or higher. Typing translations yourself is always free.
  • If all competitor slots are full, remove a competitor or upgrade — your existing data is never deleted.
  • Each plan also sets how many people can sign in: 2 on Free, 3 on Starter, 5 on Essential, 10 on Plus, no limit on Max. See Members.
  • Prices and allowances can change; the Service status page always shows what applies to you.
  • Two plans can include the same features and still differ — the credits, the competitor slots, and how often the AI team runs are what separate them. The cards and the chart show all three.

  • Questions about your plan go through Help → My tickets, not email.
  • You can ask the Telegram assistant “how many credits do I have left” and it answers with what is left and when your monthly credits fill up again. Switch Credits on under What it may do first. See Telegram.
