Pages and links on your site
Your public site can have an About page, a What’s on page, and a Contact page alongside your menu. You decide which ones guests see. Everything here is in Website → Pages & address.
The rule — turning a page off hides the link and switches the page off, so nobody can reach it, not even from an old bookmark or a search result. Switching something off is always free.
How it works
- Open Website → Pages & address.
- Main link lands on — choose whether your main link opens your home page or goes straight to the menu. Your own web address follows the same choice.
- Pages & links — give About, What’s on, and Contact one of three settings:
- Automatic — show the page only once it has something on it. No events yet, no What’s on link.
- Always on — show it even while empty, handy just before a launch.
- Off — hide the link and switch the page off.
- Each row shows Live or Hidden right now, a line saying why, and a link to where you’d add what’s missing. The About row also has Edit this page. It opens your About page in the Page builder.
- Under Private events, two more switches: whether your event packages are listed, and whether customers can accept a quote online from the link you send them.
Your Home and Menu links are always there and can’t be switched off.
Good to know
- Automatic is where you start, so a restaurant that never runs events never has to touch this.
- What’s on appears the moment you publish your first event; Contact appears once you add a phone, email, or address.
- Off never costs anything — if your plan doesn’t include the full website, Automatic and Always on are greyed out, but Off still works, and your choice holds if you add the website later.
- Without the full website these pages aren’t reachable anyway, so every row reads Hidden and says so.
- The top bar hides while guests read. Scroll down and the bar slides up out of view, so the page uses the whole screen. Scroll up and it comes back. It works on your menu too. To switch it off, open Brand → Look & logo and turn off Hide the top bar when guests scroll down.
- On a phone the top bar shows fewer links — your name, Menu, language and sign-in. Home and Contact drop off, because your name is already the link home and your phone, address and map are in the footer of every page. All the links come back on a tablet or computer.
- The top bar and the footer speak your guest’s language. Menu, About, Hours, Closed and the day names change when a guest picks another language.
- The footer shows only what you filled in. No opening hours means no hours box. No social links means no Follow box. Add them in Settings and they appear.
- Only owners can change these settings.
