Which venue you're working on
Every page in the admin — your menu, your prices, your posts — belongs to one venue. The top bar tells you which one, so you never edit the wrong restaurant by accident.
The rule: the name in the top bar is the venue you are changing right now.
How it works
The name in the top bar is a dropdown, whether you run one venue or ten. With one venue it mostly just tells you where you are; with more than one, pick another venue and the whole admin reloads onto it: the menu, the orders, the reviews and the numbers all change together. Your choice is remembered on that device, so the next time you open the admin on the same tablet you land back where you left off.
At the bottom of the dropdown there is always + Add venue. That’s how you open a second (or fifth) location under the same account — it takes you to the same one-link setup page a new signup uses.
Good to know
- On a phone the name lives in the menu drawer instead — tap the icon at the top left. The top bar is too narrow to hold a long name and the buttons.
- A long name is shortened to fit. Hover it (or tap and hold) to see it in full.
- Switching venue changes it only for you, on that device. It doesn’t affect your team.
- If your venues are grouped, the dropdown groups them under the group’s name.
- Staff only ever see venues they’ve been given access to.
