Bigger menu text — the A− / A+ buttons guests see
Every public menu renders its text slightly larger than a normal web page — about two points — and every guest sees A− / A+ buttons in the top bar to go smaller or larger in five steps. A phone’s own text-size setting never reaches a web page, so the menu carries its own control instead.
How it works
- A guest opens your menu. Everything — dish names, descriptions, prices, the small ingredient labels — renders one step larger than standard, automatically.
- If the text is still too small (or too big), they tap A+ or A− in the top bar, next to the light/dark button on dish pages, or next to the search icon on a menu with no logo bar. There is only one pair of buttons on each screen.
- Their choice is remembered on that phone, so the menu opens at their size next time. It never affects anyone else’s phone.
Good to know
- There is nothing to switch on — it is live on every menu, free and paid.
- The buttons move in small steps, roughly two points each, from slightly below standard up to about one-and-a-half times standard.
- A guest’s choice stays on their own device. Your menu settings, and what other guests see, never change.
