Fill AI fields on many dishes at once

A menu you import arrives with names and prices and little else. Opening four hundred dishes to press the sparkle on each card is a thousand presses. Tick the rows instead and the AI writes them all.

The rule

It fills empty fields only. Words you wrote are never changed.

How it works

  1. On Menu → Menu Items, tick the dishes you want. The bar at the bottom shows Fill AI fields.
  2. A box opens. It counts what is missing and shows the price for each kind of field.
  3. Untick anything you do not want. The long description costs 3 credits, the rest cost 1, so that is the line worth looking at.
  4. Press Fill them. The AI writes, and the counts drop to zero as it goes.
  5. One press fills 10 dishes. Press again for the rest.

Good to know

  • Six kinds of field: category details, short description, long description, ingredients and allergens, search title and text, and drink pairings.
  • Drink pairings wait for you. The AI picks drinks from your own list for each dish with no pairing. Guests do not see them. Open the dish and press Approve on each drink you want. The Drinks to approve box on Menu Items shows how many dishes wait. Click it to see only those dishes.
  • It never writes a name, a price or a photo. A price the AI made up is a price a guest can act on.
  • Drinks never get the ingredients and allergens step. That card is hidden for drinks, so there is nothing for you to check.
  • A dish with no name is skipped. The box tells you how many.
  • Allergens need facts. A dish gets allergens only if it already has ingredients or a description. The AI does not guess allergens from the dish name. The box tells you how many dishes it skips.
  • The AI does not always know everything. A wine may get its grape and its region and still have no winery. Type that one in yourself.
  • A dish is about 9 credits when every field is empty. The box always shows the total before you press.
