Sections only for guests in the venue

You can hide a section from people online. Guests who scan a QR code inside your venue still see it. For example, you can hide your wine list from the internet and show it at the table.

The rule: only a real code from your venue opens these sections. Nobody can open them from home by typing a link.

How it works

  1. Open a section and find Online ordering policy.
  2. Choose Only in the venue (people online do not see it). Or choose People see it online. They order it only in the venue.
  3. Print your codes. Each table has its own code. There is also one Venue QR code for the bar or for a venue with no tables.
  4. A guest scans a code. The hidden sections open on their phone. They can order from them.
  5. After a few hours the sections close again. The guest scans again to see them.

Good to know

  • To hide all your alcohol in one step, open Menu Categories and turn on Hide alcohol from people online. It works for every alcohol section, also new ones.
  • You choose how long the sections stay open, from 1 to 8 hours. The default is 3 hours. Find it on the Table QR codes page.
  • Someone can take a photo of a code and use it at home. Press Make a new code if this happens. The old printed code stops working.
  • A hidden section is not in Google and not in the list of pages we send to search engines.
  • This hides the section. It does not check how old the guest is. The age check for alcohol still works the same.
