The market panel — what the places you watch did this month

When you still have a free slot, the column on the right of Growth → Competitors suggests places worth watching. Once every slot is taken, it changes job: it reports what the people you already follow have been doing for the last 30 days.

The rule

Everything on this panel happened. Nothing is predicted, nothing is estimated, and nothing here costs you credits.

How it works

The panel shows one card at a time and moves on every few seconds. Two kinds of card:

  • Where you stand — one of them against you on one thing. “The Speakeasy took 120+ new reviews · you 61.” Amber when they are ahead, green when you are.
  • What they did — a fact that needs no comparison. A live deal and its price, a run of new reviews, a busy posting week, or somebody who has gone quiet.

Click any card to open that competitor. The dots underneath jump straight to a card, and the small pause button holds one still — the panel also pauses while your mouse is over it.

Good to know

  • The window is the last 30 days, counted from what has actually been read. A number with a + means there were more than the panel counts (for example 120+ reviews).
  • You will never see “you are ahead of them” based on a zero. If we hold nothing for a competitor on a channel, that is a gap in our reading, not a quiet month for them — so it is left out.
  • Small differences are not reported. A competitor who posted one more time than you is not news.
  • There are no trend lines yet. We need months of history before a chart would tell the truth rather than draw a straight line through one point.
  • Nina’s suggestions do not disappear — they fold into the single line underneath (“Nina found 6 more places worth watching”). Click it to open the full list.
